The Listening

16/10/2011

I never really ever know what to say
When all of my emotions get in the way
I’m just trying to get us on the same page

I don’t feel right
What has come over me, I’m about
To lose my mind

Silence

23/07/2011

Being in NS is one of the things I wasn’t looking forward to. We are constantly being punished for the slightest mistakes. For an instance, we were punished because we were making a lot of noise.

Ever since that incident, we would often hear “sshh” or someone shouting “lower your volume!”

It makes me wonder which way is a more effective way to bring silence on us. One would say “sshh” would be rather effective considering that it is an universal sound to be quiet compared to shouting and adding more noise.

In my opinion, I prefer the ‘sshh’. I think that shouting is just annoying and makes the situation more chaotic. Just imagine if everyone pitch in and ‘sshh’ together? A harmonious sound. We can probably create a choir out of it. That would be a world’s first.

But I guess there are other various factors to consider. Such as, context, whether you are with friends or strangers, whether you have an authoritative figure associated with and many more I guess.

If you are Dumbledore, I reckon shouting would be the most effective way.

School, Misery & Paranoia

12/02/2010

This week has been rather tiring, exhausting but yet fulfilling. First off, on Thursday it was the submission for the BSIT XML assignment. Overall, I think my group did pretty well. All of our applications were able to run smoothly without creating an unpredictable, never before seen error. Moreover, our RMI integration between the four applications went super smooth. I think we were the only group in the class to implement RMI! That makes us feel special in a way. Hopefully we are able to gain more marks because of it.

On Friday, we had DSCN lab test in the morning and assignment presentation in the afternoon. Luckily, the test was rather simple. Actually, it was very simple. If we were to compare the lab test and the actual application that we have coded for our assignment, the comparison is like comparing a pea with a watermelon (Does that make sense?). We spend alot of time doing our assignment and because of that, we are quite knowledgeable regarding RMI and TCP/IP. Hence, the lab test was rather “chicken feet” or very easy so to say.

I’m glad that we are finally done with DSCN. I think we did very well for our DSCN. We implemented a ton of features onto our application. Honestly, my group is rather amazing, they are a bunch of talented and smart people who are able to code literally anything. I feel rather lucky and thankful that I’m in their group!

All in all, both Mr Teo and Ms Lim are rather pleased with our work as well.

BB Cream!

11/08/2009

Recently, I’ve been splurging on BB creams. I should stop and just buy MAC.

I bought my BB Cream online. It is much cheaper.

The first BB Cream I bought is Missha’s M BB Cream..

Firstly, it is way too light for me. The consistency of it is really thick as well. It seems to have a beige undertone. Honestly, I do not like it and definitely would not repurchase it.

Something amazing arrived today!

It’s the Missha M Perfect Cover in #23. It’s supposedly to be the darkest and gives the most coverage. But I think otherwise. I’m an NC35.

The consistency isn’t as thick as the Missha M BB Cream.

I shouldn’t have bought these, such a waste of money.

Moodswings

4/08/2009

Terrible week.

I have way too many emotions going in me.
I do know what’s the reason for being mad and upset.

2 separate occurrence just had to happen this week.

I’m much more inclined to the gloominess.
No, it’s not about that Denise & Adelene thing. I seriously can’t be bothered with them.

Apple Keynote

14/06/2007

Apple’s Leopard is wonderful. I have not tried it yet but it looks great with 300 new features and Steve Jobs could only show 10 of it.

Leopard introduces over 300 new features, including a new Desktop and Dock with Stacks, an intuitive new way to organize files; an updated Finder featuring Cover Flow™ and a new way to easily browse and share files between multiple Macs; Quick Look, a new way to rapidly preview most files without opening an application; Time Machine, a new way to easily and automatically back up and restore lost files or a complete Mac®; Spaces, a powerful new feature to create groups of applications and instantly switch between them; and enhanced iChat and Mail applications, which easily allow users to communicate even more creatively.

With its unique ability to let users travel back in time to find deleted files, applications, photos and other digital media, Time Machine is a revolutionary way to protect your digital life. With just a one-click setup, Time Machine automatically keeps an up-to-date copy of everything on the Mac. In the event a file is lost, users can use Mac OS X’s Spotlight™ to search back through time to find and then instantly restore the file. Time Machine can automatically back up a Mac to an external hard drive connected with a FireWire® or USB cable, to a server, or wirelessly to an AirPort Extreme® base station with an attached hard drive.

Leopard also includes three new technologies that take full advantage of the latest developments in processor hardware: full native 64-bit support to enable applications to take complete advantage of 64-bit processing while still running side by side with existing 32-bit Mac OS X applications and drivers; easy multi-core optimization and scheduling to take advantage of the latest Intel hardware; and Core Animation, helping developers easily create animated user experiences as amazing as Leopard’s Spaces and Time Machine in their own applications.

I copied over some of the interesting ones from here

Isn’t it cool? Even though I don’t know what is 64Bit but i guess it must be a good thing. I want Leopard too but I don’t think I can install it on any of the computers in my house. I tried installing Tiger before but it doesn’t work so I gave up trying to get a fake mac and just save up and just buy one of the those machines. I’m positively sure those ‘beta’ Leopard will be floating around in the internet.

Not forgetting iPhone it is coming out in US 29 June. It will be coming out in Asia 2008 i think. Nevertheless it will give us some time to collect money and buy that stuff. iPhone is seriously nice looking and it has such wonderful interface and multi touch technology! However, it only has 2 Megapixel camera which i find it rather low and it does not have 3G capabilities.

I want a Macbook Pro and iMac. The Macbook Pro can use it for schooling in poly and the iMac use it at home. I’ll drive my bmw with my macbook pro or maybe a macbook. (HAHA i’m just a dreamer)

Macbook 13 Inch Black
2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1GB memory
160GB hard drive1
Double-layer SuperDrive
S$ 2,488.00

Macbook Pro 17 Inch
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1680 x 1050 pixels
2GB memory
160GB hard drive1
8x double-layer SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics with 256MB SDRAM
S$ 4,688.00

iMac 24 Inch:
2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1GB memory
250GB hard drive1
8x DL SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics
S$ 3,388.00

Price and some of the pictures were taken from www.apple.com. It is so expensive. There is no box thingy where you put your CDs it is only the screen, mouse and keyboard for the iMac. Everything is inside the box where the screen is. The Macbook Pro is much more powerful in terms of speed. I really want one..(maybe 2 of it) I love Apple’s product!

You’re not getting the last laugh.

23/05/2007

My whole ride back home was filled with anger. I’m much angrier than the day before. I’m filled with such intense anger that I could tear a teddy bear into pieces.

I had an interesting ‘talk’ with someone this afternoon whom I shall not name for several reasons. By the way, it is just a conversation and not a scolding session. And if YOU (you should know whom I’m referring too) think that it is a scolding session, too bad that it’s not.

I was walking back home and I have to pass through East Point to get to the other side. At the entrance of the East Point there was this group of people standing, obviously being an obstruction to the entrance. Isn’t it obvious that you’re blocking the way. There was about seven people crowding at the entrance. I was already filled with intense anger; looking at that simply makes me rage even more.

Nevertheless, in the previous post below I did say that I’m 16. I also mentioned that we are naïve people since we are only 16 and we don’t really have much experience. In case you don’t know, that part was meant to be sarcastic which means that I’m not that naïve, I m not that stupid, I’m not that oblivious.

At my blog’s admin page, I have this feature (this is why I love WordPress it’s a blog software I’m currently using you should give it a try) that enables me to see who recently visited my blog, the referrers that visited my blog, search engine terms they have used to find my blog and many more. Referrers are people that clicked links from other pages to get to my blog. One of them is myedumail.moe.edu.sg

And all this while you thought I was that naïve? I know that you put my blog link into the MOE email and send it to several staff members of the school. Yesterday, I had 4 referrers from myedumail.moe.edu.sg and 4 referrers today. Interesting aye? My blog is gaining recognition.

Yesterday a total of 71 unique visitors visit my blog. Highest record! Yesterday I already printed out all the documents. The documents were all the post that I have made. I printed it because I can show it to whoever is interested because I know I will be called out just as I expected. I printed it out so that I have hard copy evidence to show that I’m safe and I’m innocent. It’s merely thoughts that are being typed out. No insults nothing to that extent. I’m such a goody person.

Someone IMed me while I was typing this.. A says she read my blog and said very good and A likes it. So what can you deduce from this comment given by a friend of me? It is for me to know and for you to find out. Names have been change to protect the privacy of my friends. They are innocent; I don’t wish to bring them into trouble.

Probably I’m going to be sent to the counselor about this. It is not that bad. I can vent out all the anger and all the stuff. I’m looking forward.

By the way, don’t think you’re getting the last laugh.

I was venting out my anger to a friend of mine with the name of Kevin.

kevin:. says:
burn her on the stick!

I find it hilarious

For all my dearest wonderful readers please do not assume that this post is referring to ‘ms sherine wong’ I didn’t say that this post is dedicated to her. Well, you don’t really have supporting evidence to point out this post is about her. So, making wrong assumptions are bad. It might cause a dispute. Haven’t you ever heard that assumptions aren’t always correct?

If you really want to know, it is for me to know and for you to find out.

To my nice Discipline Master, I just need a place to vent out my anger okay?

Strawberry

17/05/2007

I cooked today. I was bored okay. I made some strawberry stuff.

Strawberry pudding and strawberry fruit juice. I threw it away. Nobody ate it. It looks disgusting and doesn’t smell nice.

Almost died during 3 hours of maths. At one moment, Jing Ming was asking me to explain a certain question. It is one of those question about finding a formula in a number pattern. This type of question involves observation and trial and error. And he is asking me to teach him how to do.

I was damn bored and I said ‘Ask Jing Ting’ He turned behind and just looked at Jing Ting and her paper. It was freaking hilarious. She was like pretending so hard that Jing Ming was invisible. She started to panic a bit and worried.. She was like looking at her paper then Xinyi’s then her paper then Xinyi’s

In a way I sort of sabotage Jing Ting. Xinyi like told Jing Ming off. It was damn hilarious the way Xinyi told Jing Ming off. Next semester changing place. I hope I change place.

(16:53) JINGTING -: LOL !
(16:53) JINGTING -: i was like
(16:53) JINGTING -: so scared can!
(16:53) JINGTING -: i tot he looking what
(16:53) JINGTING -: so i was like trying to avoid him to look at my ..
(16:54) JINGTING -: he suddenly turn behind & started staring at me
(16:54) JINGTING -: & my paper
(16:54) JINGTING -: wan ask , dun dare ask

Weird dreams

11/05/2007

I didn’t have enough time to complete my graph for Math Paper 2. Physics paper was okay. I think.

I tried that spell that Karimah told us about. That spell that promised to tell us what perception a particular person has of us in our dream. It didn’t work. I woke up in disappointment. I knew it will not work but I was honestly desperate to know. Karimah did it and it works on her!

I had 3 interesting dreams instead. The first one was about XxxxX. XxxxX came over to my home. For unknown reasons, I was in my room with my choir friends, Amelia, Christina, May Chin, Shi Shan, Yi Ling and some other juniors.

XxxxX was standing at the door of my room and asked for a camera. I proceeded to gave my camera and everyone left the room. Everyone stood behind XxxxX instead. They took several photos and passed me the camera. I remember looking at all the photos on the camera. And that’s how it ended. Totally random.

Second dream was that I was going down the stairs and there was a lot of people. Maybe I’ll just keep this dream to myself.

The third dream consist of me sitting in History class. Just to let me clarify, I chose Geography as my humanity subject and not History. I was at the back of the class with Liyana, Hafizah, Rachael, Kamelia and Tricia. Mdm Zubaidah was our History teacher. Syafiq was sitting in front of me and suddenly it changed to Faizal. He offered me chewing gum and I politely refused. He forced me to take it and I gave in and took a piece. Suddenly, the person in front of me turned around and it was Syafiq, he looked at me in horror and said, “I can’t believe you’re chewing on it!”

By the way, yesterday, thursday, I had an interesting talk with someone so today I had to read my horoscope.

Horoscope of the week. This week you may step out of your comfort zone and let your hidden wild and crazy side out. –>Thursday you may find out that someone you thought you knew as a friend had a different feeling about his or her relationship with you. <– Coming to grips with the knowledge that you could have made such an error in judgment regarding a person you considered worthy of trust may bring you to a new realization of the way in which you make decisions regarding friendships. You may choose to look beneath the surface in potential new acquaintances a bit more
