My Sony Macro Lens

17/06/2010

Inspiration has not struck me for the past three months. Thus, I have not been diligently blogging. There is just not enough juicy drama going on to pen it down. I decided to post up random photos as filler.

Meanwhile, I have finally manage to grab hold on a macro lens. I do wish I have the money to splurge on a semi professional macro lens but all I could afford now was the cheapest macro lens. It’s better than nothing I’ll say. I should save for the upcoming iPhone 4 as well. :D

Sony DSLR and MAC

1/03/2010

The moment is here.

I finally bought my DSLR.

My passion for photography goes as far as when I was a primary school student.

I remembered vividly during the CCA orientation session. Every CCA had their own booth and we had to basically sign up for whatever CCA tickled our fancy.

I was standing the middle of the hall and glancing through all the CCA booths. Students were chattering and moving from booth to booth trying to learn about each CCAs. The photography club seems to entice me the most. I scoffed and walked towards the badminton booth instead.

As much as I love photography, I didn’t join it photography CCA are lame. Students will be given cameras and taking photos of school events. For example, if we were having a children’s day concert in the hall. You would  tend to see students around the hall taking pictures and what not. I’m honestly not interested in that.

In any case, DSLR has always been expensive though they take amazing pictures. However, DSLR prices have been going down and becoming more affordable. I decided to take this opportunity to get myself a DSLR.

I head down to the Sony Style store in Wisma Atria. My mum sponsored me $300 and I got myself the A500. In my opinion, the A500 is far better valued compared to the A55o. I bought the camera and the lens kit. It cost $1,299.

I got the vertical grip and 8GB memory card as free gifts.

Since I was at Wisma Atria and ION is just beside it. I decided to head down to Sephora and pick up a new foundation from MAC Cosmetics.

The images above were taken with my Sony DSLR A500.

I wanted the MAC Face and Body but it’s a mac pro item in Singapore. I got the Mineralize SatinFinish instead. It is expensive. It cost $61 for a bottle of liquid that is like 30ML.

Anyways, it was a great day. I absolutely love my DSLR and I love my new foundation though I still wish I got the MAC Face and Body. The following are just some random shows I did with my new awesome DSLR.

I've always wanted to do this kind of shots.

My eyes ain't close. I'm just looking down.

I’m thinking of starting a new blog where it’s strictly limited to posting of photos daily or opening a deviantart account or a flickr account!

iPhone, can i touch you?

26/08/2008

There was a period back then when SingTel allowed reservations for the upcoming iPhone. Of course i sprang out of my bed and turn on my macbook!

After the much long wait and anticipation, it comes out.

Without me buying it.

Dumb.

The 8GB iPhone cost $348 2 year contract with a monthly payment of $56. If i trade in my Nokia N82, i’ll get $300. But the thing is that my parents hate the plan. They don’t mind sponsoring another $48 for the phone. They’re waiting till christmas and see if the price has gone down.

And sure by that time i’ll be SO FAR BACK. Since everyone got their iPhone months before me. Though i’ve no idea if N82 is way better than iPhone as it has the 5 Megapixel camera.

Someone said though, a good photographer doesn’t necessarily have the best camera equipment.

I need a Sony camera too. And i lost my watch because i put it under the table during the CMaths exam and i forgot to take it.
