In loving memory of Bobby

29/01/2010

Bobby died yesterday, 28th January 2010. He’s a family cat of ours. I believe he died at the age of 12 years and that’s young. Bobby, what a whacky name. I don’t remember who gave that name.

1 down and 5 more cats to go!

Jokes aside, actually I have nothing much to say other than I do feel rather gloomy.

A series of photos will surely lengthen this post.

As a kitten

Awkward pose whilst sleeping.

He's with Kitty, the larger cat.

All grown up.

The following pictures were taken on 26th January 2010. It was the day the symptoms shows that he was going soon..

Yes, it’s a horrible sight indeed. He was just lying there, his eyes were empty, staring into the space. There was no reaction even though I was waving my hand frantically in front of him. At least his ears was twitching when I made some noises. He was also breathing erratically, it was as if he was short of breath, somewhat exhibiting shallow breathing. And as you can see, his tongue was sticking out. Time to time, he would miss a breath and that really made my heart stop, I kept think that it was time for him to go already.

We sent him to the vet on 26th January 2010. Doctor called yesterday to tell us that he’s gone.

Well.. yeah.

I’m sure he had a lovely 12 years in this house with abundant food. On Tuesday, I padded him and ask for forgiveness for any miserable I have ever caused in his life.

Yes that’s me and the cat! God knows how old I was.

In any case, death is inevitable. Everything ends eventually. The question is when?

Daily Happy #6

21/01/2010

I’m actually typing this entry whilst Mr David, my Mobile Device Programming teacher, is talking.

Recently, I acquire a certain product that promised whiter teeth. As usual, I was quite skeptical about it.

But lord behold, after six hours of using it, my teeth is definitely whiter!

As the days go by, I’ve been using it and my teeth has been so white to the extent that the whiteness looks fake. Nonetheless, I LOVE IT.

I’m in love with the whiteness and of course utterly happy.

Daily Unhappy

20/01/2010

A daily unhappy entry as opposed of the usual daily happy entry.

I’m typing in this entry with heavy eyes. The reason being that I have not slept since yesterday! I’ve been working hard on my school assignment.

The past week has been a very tough week. We basically had two PBL subjects. If you don’t know what is PBL, let me give you a brief walkthrough.

PBL stands for problem-based learning. A PBL subject basically is about solving problems, real life problems humans like you and me encounter. PBL subjects are not like our typical subjects we’ve been taught in secondary school. In a PBL class, we are given a problem and then we would have to research on the internet or library to find a solution. There’s no usual spoon feeding from teachers.

Imagine having 2 PBL assignments due within the same week and they are only a day apart. The thing about PBL is that it requires a lot of time and individual researching and self study.

I’ll just get straight to the point. We pretty much did quite well for our first PBL assignment on Monday which was a subject called Business Integrated Technologies.  A second PBL assignment for Distributed Systems and Connectivity is due on Wednesday.

Mind you it is a programming subject. It’s not easy. We were too focused on Business Integrated Technologies to the point that we didn’t have enough time for Distributed Systems and Connectivity.

My groups and I finished our presentation and in my opinion, it went horrible. Basically we are suppose to design an application based on distributed systems.

I didn’t have time to complete my application and most of the functions are not working. Thus, I was standing infront of the class and talking like a fool without sleep and groggy.

My teacher asked whether if she gave us another day, will I be able to complete it?

That question seems to signify that I did not manage to complete to even hit the passing criteria and she’s considering giving me a second chance.

I shall not continue my blabber about how it’s tough for polytechnic students to enter into local university.

All I’m saying is that I’m upset.

GCE O Level Results 2009

11/01/2010

OHH MY GOD!

OHH MY GOD!!

I scored a B3 for my GCE O Level 2009, English Language.

No words can describe how thrilled I am. It has always and I mean ALWAYS been a dream of mine to do well for English

Now, my L1R4 stands at 13 points.

Another reason why I am so thrilled and beyond disbelief is that, I actually studied a week before the actual exam. Trust me, I barely put any effort into it because it coincide with my assignment deadline for my current diploma.

I’m really beyond disbelief because how did I even manage to score a B3? I mean, how did my English improve! Pity that I absent myself for the Mathematics paper.

I wish I can celebrate but assignment deadlines are coming.

PS. I am SERIOUSLY on cloud nine. :)
